Firefox, we all know of its growing popularity but exactly what market share does it hold? Following is a graph displaying Firefox’s market share growth in comparison to Internet Explorer’s market share over a five year period. The data collected was from avid technology users so the graph is not to scale for global internet users but the trend is accurate.

Judging by the current trends we can estimate that Firefox will have highest market share of techy users by the end of 2008. Some of the important steps Firefox has taken to reach its current market share are; creating the
Spread Firefox portal and partnering with Google.
